Summer Al-Sayed and Priya Garib competed at Coleg Gwent's catering kitchen in a bid to win the Futurechef Young Chef Competition. 

Priya was joint runner-up whilst Summer won this heat of the competition. Summer will now compete for Wales in the next round, with the aim of winning a place in the national finals in London! 

Both students' food were judged by a BBC Masterchef contestant, Celtic Manor chefs and a previous Futurechef national champion.

Summer and Priya had an amazing experience competing in this competition and as a result, both Year 10 students have now been offered work experience in a range of kitchens over the next few months.
