At Eastern High we believe fundraising not only helps our chosen charities and their beneficiaries, but also provides our pupils with an understanding of others and their situations.  It helps develop relationships, empathy with others and contributes to overall well-being.

We fundraise in a variety of ways during the year to support local charities.  This year our chosen charity is the Wales Air Ambulance because it is a charity that we are able to connect with and who has provided life saving services to a staff member and have also assisted a pupil this year.

Our current fundraising events are:

The Big Shave:  Mrs Thomas, staff member has grown her hair, dyed it the four colours of the Air Ambulance blades (which also happen to be the same colour as our houses).  She has then raised money through bids to cut off the coloured plaits and have her head shaved. Students have also been asked to donate to support the cause. See the attached video.
