Performance
Our improvement journey so far and all we have achieved
At Eastern High School, we are incredibly proud of how far we have come on our improvement journey. Since 2014, our GCSE results have improved year on year, reflecting the dedication of our staff, pupils, and wider community.
We were removed from special measures in November 2017 following significant progress across all Estyn recommendations. Since then, we’ve continued to grow, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for every young person.
Our most recent Estyn visit in 2022 praised the school’s strong focus on pupil wellbeing and the support we provide for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). We were delighted that Estyn confirmed the school had made sufficient progress and no longer required further monitoring. You can read the parent version Estyn report by following the link provided. We are really proud of the feedback on our pupil wellbeing and recognition of the work we do to support our ALN pupils.
